A professional basketball team, Knoxville Noise is based in Knoxville, Tennessee. The team was foded in 2006 and play at Knoxville Catholic High School. The team is owned by Suki Sports Corporation. The team colors are: blue, white, and red.
The Knoxville Noise are a member of the World Basketball Association in Knoxville, Tennessee. During 2006-07 season, the team drafted new players that include: Kevin McDonald, Bakary Konte, Jemere Hendrix and Bassamba Sao.
Knoxville Ice Bears
A professional ice hockey team, Knoxville Ice Bears is based in Knoxville, Tennessee. The team was founded in 2002 and competes in the Southern Professional Hockey League. The Knoxville Ice Bears play their home games at James White Civic Coliseum in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Jim Bermingham is the current head coach of the team. The Knoxville Ice Bears clenched the 2006 SPHL Championship by defeating the Florida Seals in game 4 of the SPHL Championship. The team has also won the Commissioner's Cup for the best record in the SPHL during regular season in both years of the SPHL's presence.
During its first season the team was a member of the Atlantic Coast Hockey League. In the 2002-2003 season, the Ice Bears moved to the new South Eastern Hockey League after completing as runner up to the Orlando Seals. Again in 2003-2004, the Ice Bears moved to the Southern Professional Hockey League after completing as a runner up to the Huntsville Channel Cats.
